Unfortunate is the rigid, linear mind that allows for nothing outside it’s narrow perimeters. Even more unfortunate is the hurt this ignorance spreads. I’ve seen such harsh judgements cast that death seemed a more consoling option to it’s victim. If only people knew and thought about the power of their words and actions. Sad truths are that society condones such impossible standards and expectations for people. We sit back watching reality tv shows that highlight someones misery as if it’s acceptable to mock suffering and promote the king of the castle agenda. As if another’s failure is our personal success or at least comforting us where we think we lack. Our “acceptance” always subject to conditions. Maybe it’s about unbecoming everything we think we know, an unburdening, shedding layers of cultural, and social conditioning. the vastness of that speaks to me, or at least who I think is me.
