World Sick Blues

Oh inverted world, you spin on despite your sickness. Accommodating such madness. Surrendering to a culture who’s lost the plot. We take and take some more like you owe us something, like we’re significant. There’s no satisfaction with the subtle. So we justify the greed to feed more than our needs. Sold ideas of separation to build our ego’s like walls to withstand the sizing up, the grading, the rating. The harder, the better, the faster, the stronger so we can outplay this sick game of ‘every man for himself’ we’ve mistaken for life. While people starve for food and connection we build walls and towers standing in silence on elevators. Bring us back to humbler times, when we knew just how insignificant we really were just by looking at the moon. When no man was as hungry for such a solitary glory, but united in love. I’m hopeful still. There has to be hope. The energies are getting lighter, lifting us into higher perspectives away from ourselves and into connection, compassion. I feel this shift, it’s stronger everyday. I’m hopeful still, there has to be hope.
